YaCy is an open source, distributed, user-driven web search engine.

The index is distributed among all users by its P2P-network. Hence the network is resistant against central censorship.
Moreover privacy is guaranteed because no usage-data is collected.

Only a small set of features:
* index the pages shown in the browser
* cooperative crawling
* customized intranet indexing or own site search
* resistance against central censorship
