In October 1994, when Denmark's "Rock Mama" Sanne Salomonsen celebrated her 25th anniversary in the music business, she gathered her band, some of her friends and colleagues and a small - but enthusiastic! - audience in the Easy Sound Studio in Copenhagen for the recording of this acoustic set. The album features songs both from her solo career, like "Den Jeg Elsker, Elsker Jeg", "Kød Og Blod", "Haven't I Been Good To You" and "Kærligheden Kalder", tracks from her time with the bands The Sneakers ("Voodoo") and Anne Linnet Band ("Det 'Ikke Det Du Siger") as well as interpretations of rock and pop classics like Rod Stewart's "I Don't Wanna Talk About It", The Beatles' "Come Together" (with actor/singer Nikolaj Steen who would go on to produce several of Sanne's albums in the 2000's) and Alannah Myles' "Black Velvet" (with her old bandmate Lis Sørensen from Anne Linnet Band).
Produced by Englishman Alan Winstanley (Madness, The Teardrop Explodes, Morrissey, Elvis Costello etc.)
Enjoy - and thanks in advance for seeding.
