Robin Miriam Carlsson aka Robyn [born June 12th 1979 in Stockholm, Sweden] is a Swedish pop singer-songwriter and is widely known in her home country. Robyn was known in the late nineties for her dance-pop hits 'Show Me Love' and 'Do You Know [What It Takes]'. She has since started to gain mainstream success in the United Kingdom again, due to the massive critical and commercial success of her single 'With Every Heartbeat'.

'Robyn' is the fourth album by Swedish singer Robyn, originally released on Robyn's own label, Konichiwa Records in April 2005 in Sweden. The UK version was released on April 2nd 2007 with different cover art. It includes tracks 'With Every Heartbeat' [collaboration with producer Kleerup], cover of Teddybears song 'Cobrastyle' [off 'The Rakamonie EP'] and new versions of 'Robotboy' and 'Bum Like You'. The album was re-issued in the UK on August 13th 2007, and includes the additional track 'Jack U Off'. The reason for the re-issue was the success of the single 'With Every Heartbeat' which had its physical release in the UK on August 6th 2007, and at the time of writing is listed at No.1 on the UK Singles Chart. 'With Every Heartbeat' has become the biggest hit of Robyn's career in the UK, becoming her first No.1 hit, second top ten and fourth top forty hit of her career.
