Lineage: Sony mic 'borrowed' from recording studio (model unknown) > Edirol R-09 > Audition (cuts, normalising, adjusting balance - no other tweaks done)
OneTwo are fundamentally Paul Humphries of Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark & his wife, Claudia Brucken formerly of Propaganda. For this slot they were joined by another keyboardist, Philip Larsen of Manhattan Clique.
This was the very first live test for my new Edirol and since we were four rows from the back in the middle tier, it was never going to be a quality recording. I also had to play around with recording levels a couple of times - hopefully it isn't noticeable.
Oh and for those of you aware of the 'stupid women issues' affecting the HL recording (see http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=172632), you'll be pleased to know that they weren't present for this - probably still in the bar getting trollied and trying to pull stupid men . . . .
As stated on the other torrent, the Royal Concert Hall is a good venue with good acoustics and the performance was good. The recording has ended up being 'not bad' although at times it can be a bit trebly and, because we're at the back, some excessive reverb at times.
