Not to worry, more Michael Ponti on it's way (well, not that much anyway, just two more double cd releases).
Wanted to upload this one first, as it is probably my most beloved Chopin recording, and my most beloved fortepiano recording. Olejniczak plays with elegance and melancholy, which is just so suitable for Chopin.
Now, the Pleyel is amazing! The way the treble explodes at the end of each note, the bass growls and the higher register rings like bells. From this recording, it's quite obvious why Chopin liked the Pleyels so much, Erards sound so anemic in comparison...
