Liz und ihre Freunde stechen mit einer Luxus-Yacht in See, um zusammen einen fantastischen Urlaub zu erleben. Vom Kurs abgekommen, geraten die Dinge jedoch außer Kontrolle. Das Schiff zerschellt an einem Riff und sie retten sich in letzter Minute auf eine mysteriöse und verlassene Insel. In dieser fremden Welt angekommen schaffen sie es, ein Signal zu senden und beschließen, am Strand auf Hilfe zu warten. Währenddessen verlautbaren mysteriöse Laute aus dem Dschungel, das irgendetwas sie zu beobachten scheint. Am nächsten Morgen ist Liz' Verlobter Peter plötzlich verschwunden. Nur eine blutige Spur im Sand ist von ihm noch übrig. Schockiert und ängstlich dringt Liz mit dem Rest der Gruppe in das tiefe Dickicht vor, um Peter zu suchen. Als sie auf eine blutrünstige, humanoide Kreatur treffen, wird schnell klar, dass auch sie nur Futter für die hungrigen Bestien sind.
