"I found a few programs that help with the various disc image formats that get around. DAA, UIF, and NRG are proprietary compressed image formats; native to PowerISO, MagicISO, and Nero respectively. Compression is great if you have the software, but annoying if you don't. Also, who wants to learn about and install software for all this stuff?
Included are two hacked apps that should each be able to mount and convert most formats between them, plus (better yet) simple freeware conversion apps. The Bin2ISO didn't work for me; maybe it will for you; The rest are looking good.
My opinion: there is a freeware subset of MagicISO, MagicDisc included. It can mount and create (convert) some of these formats. The freeware converters should take care of most exceptions. Keep all your images in one format, convert and mount with freeware; the best simple answer I have seen."
