Plot:
Carrie Mitchell is en route to her new life in Salem, Maine. After stopping at a lonely gas bar, she has a rather strange conversation with a hulking gas station attendant in which he warns her that the roads are bad, but she continues on towards her destination. Suddenly, from out of the woods staggers AMY SINGER, injured and scared! Carrie pulls over to help, and her young passenger begins to tell Carrie a horrifying story of what befell her and her friends in the woods.
Carrie quickly realizes that this horrible story is not yet at an end, and that Amy carries more than one deep, dark secret...

Filmens handling
Carrie Mitchell är på väg till sitt nya liv i Salem i Maine. Hon stannar till på en servering vid en enslig bensinstation och har ett underligt samtal med en anställd. Han varnar henne för de dåliga vägarna, men hon kör vidare mot sitt mål.
Plötsligt stapplar Amy Singer ut ur skogen, skadad och rädd. Carrie stannar för att hjälpa henne, och hennes unga passagerare börjar berätta en skräckinjagande historia om vad hon och hennes vänner råkade ut för i skogen. Carrie förstår snabbt att den hemska historien inte är över än,
och att Amy bär på mer än en mörk hemlighet...
