Maxwell is a new render engine based on the physics of real light. Its algorithms and equations reproduce the behavior of light in a completely accurate way. All of the elements in Maxwell, such as light emitters, material shaders, cameras etc., are entirely based on physically accurate models. Maxwell's method of calculation always converges to the correct solution without introducing artifacts due to the fact that it is an unbiased renderer.
It can fully capture all light interactions between allelements in a scene. All lighting calculations are performed using spectral information and high dynamic range data.Maxwell operates as a stand-alone command line application that targets many different enviroments like high-endrendering, architectural, production, and scientific.
The beta version of Maxwell has been released for Windows 32,Linux and Mac OS X platforms. This version includes plugin connections to 3dsMax, Viz, Maya, Lightwave, Rhino,Solidworks, ArchiCAD, Cinema 4D, formZ and Sketchup. Additionally, other file formats will be supported such as.obj, .lwo, .nff, .3ds, .xms, and .stl. Maxwell includes features such as material editor, lighteditor or tone-mapping (all based in physically accurate
models). The 1.0 RC version provides both GUI and command linefunctionality.

A drafting and illustration plugin for Version 3.0 of the Rhinocerosceros NURBS modeler. It provides linewidths, linetypes, fills and hatches for Rhinoceros. LINO prints to scale on standard page Sizes. Multiple Rhinoceros drawings can be layed out on a LINO page.
Printing: LINO works by assigning print characteristics by layer or by object, ad previewing in the Rhinoceros viewports. Printing via Adobe Acrobat .PDF format. LINO creates a .PDF file which opens automatically within adobe's free acrobat reader. From here it can be saved in electronic format or easily printed to hardcopy.
Drafting: Rhinoceros curves are rendered with linewidths, dashed linetypes and fills. Closed Rhinoceros curves can have solid fills, transparent fills and gradients, or Autocad type hatch patterns. Dimension and annotation entities are faithfully reproduced.
Illustration: PDF files created by LINO will open directly in illustration packages such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop preserving not only all assigned properties, but also the Rhinoceros layer names and structure.
Electronic Documents: Files produced by LINO use bezier and truetype representations for highly compact, elegant and flexible files, ideal for electronic document distribution.
