Agnes Carlsson [born March 6th 1988 in Vanersborg, Sweden], best known simply as Agnes, is a Swedish pop singer who rose to fame as the winner of the second season of Idol 2005. She has since gone on to be one of Sweden's most popular and best-selling female singers, selling over 180,000 albums in her home country alone. In mid-2009 she became the first Idol contestant to receive an international launch, with the singles from her third album 'Dance Love Pop' being released in 35 countries worldwide.

'Dance Love Pop' is the third studio album by the Swedish singer Agnes Carlsson. The album was originally released as one CD in Sweden on October 29th 2008 and featured 10 tracks in total. Two tracks from the album were released as singles: 'On And On' and 'Release Me', and the album peaked at No.5 on the Swedish Albums Chart. On April 1st 2009 a deluxe edition of the album titled 'Dance Love Pop: The Love Love Love Edition' was released, featuring the original 10 tracks plus new song 'Love Love Love', remixes and music videos of the album's singles. The deluxe edition peaked at No.12 on the Swedish Albums Chart. The physical single of 'Release Me' was released in the UK on June 8th 2009 and has so far peaked at No.3 on the UK Singles Chart. The full album is scheduled for release in the UK in September 2009.
