He's the 1929 silent film version of Phantom of the Opera which has been restored. Now this version is a little different than the 1925 version because it has a different music score and a few minutes of the film are shown in color.
Lurking beneath the Paris Opera House, a masked man known as the Opera Ghost hopes to make Christine Daae, a simple chorus girl into the new prima donna for the opera house. While doing this, the Opera Ghost has fallen over heels in love with her and he believes she will love him back. However, when Christine finds love with an another man, the Opera Ghost is enraged with this betrayal so he will stop at nothing to make Christine love him even to perform many incidents and murders to make it happen.
