All told there are 240 samples and sixteen loops, both divided in half into Old School and Trippy banks. You can drag samples onto tracks, play them by clicking with the mouse or more readily from the keyboard. In fact, you can control almost the whole thing from the keyboard.
You can adjust the relative volumes of the samples. You can record your mixes. In fact, the Digital Beatbox verges on being a tool rather than a toy
The only things that seem missing are some sort of tutorial to teach the neophyte how to build something that sounds good and a map of all the sounds. However, without these things, anyone who enjoys messing around with sounds could spend a lot of time with the Digital Beatbox. The samples were also ripped, because of their huge size.
