Altium Designer Summer 09 (Build 9.0.0.17654) - Portable Edition

No install needed, no administrative rights needed, just copy all files to any driver / folder and use it.

* Install

1) Copy the .EXE and .DAT files to any drive / folder (HDD, DVD, USB Pen Drive ...)
2) Execute \"Altium Designer Summer 09.exe\"
3) Enjoy!!

The examples files are compressed in the \"Examples.rar\" file. You can delete this file if you don\'t need the examples to save disk space.

* Delete saved options, history, restore defaults settings, etc

1) Just erase this folder, the custom setup are stored here:

C:/Documents and Settings/username/Application Data/Thinstall/Altium Designer Summer 09/

This folder are recreated every time you run Altium.

* Uninstall

1) Erase all files / folder copied during install
2) Erase the folder: C:/Documents and Settings/username/Application Data/Thinstall/Altium Designer Summer 09

Notes

This software has been portabilized with ThinApp v4.0.3_169725 wich is NOT compatible with Windows 7 Beta. Under Windows 7 Beta, this program crash.

If this portable version crash in your Windows, you need to make a full installation of Altium Designer Summer 09.

How to install Altium Designer Summer 09 if this portable crash

1) Download the original Altium Designer Summer 09 from the Altium.com site:

http://trial.altium.com

2) Unzip and install it. DO NOT EXECUTE Altium Designer.

3) With an hex editor like Cygnus <http://www.softcircuits.com/cygnus/>, open the installed dxp.exe file, search and replace this hex values:

f8ff84c075088d45

and replace 75 with EB:

f8ff84c0eb088d45

Save and exit.

4) Download any keygen for Altium, you can search for \"altium ad9.ini\" in any search engine.

5) Edit the file \"altium.ini\" or \"ad9.ini\" with Notepad.

6) Change the line:

LicenseVersion=6
to
LicenseVersion=9

7) Change the line:

ProductName=Altium Designer 6 - Complete System
to
ProductName=Altium Designer

Do no put \"Altium Designer 9\", only put \"Altium Designer\".

8) You can change the \"TransactorName\" to any name.

9) Save the file and exit.

10) Execute \"AltiumDesigerKeygen.exe\"

11) Change the language to english.

12) Import the \"altium.ini\" or \"ad9.ini\" file (button Import INI).

13) Export to \"altium.alf\" file (button Export ALF).

14) Exit from the keygen.

15) Copy the \"altium.alf\" file to the Altium Designer folder, usually C:/Program Files/
Altium Designer Summer 09/.

16) Execute Altium Designer Summer 09. Ignore the
warning about of the license.

17) Select \"Add Standalone License File\".

18) Select the \"altium.alf\" file.

19) You can add extra libs from:

http://www.altium.com/forms/libraries/other/

20) Enjoy!!
