'4 Minutes' is the first single by American singer-songwriter Madonna from her forthcoming eleventh studio album 'Hard Candy' and was released on March 17th 2008 by Warner Bros. Records. It features American singer-songwriter Justin Timberlake and Timbaland who also co-wrote and co-produced the song.
The music video was filmed in London from January 30th to February 2nd 2008 with Timberlake and Timbaland, directed by French duo Jonas & Francois. According to Rolling Stone, Madonna and Timberlake play superheroes tackling physical obstacles, with choreography by Jamie King. The music video begins with Timbaland rapping off, in front of a screen counting down from four minutes, it then shows Madonna leaning on car while pushing it back into a house where Timberlake and Madonna both sing and get changed while a black background that follows them both. They then jump out the window and end up in car junk yard where they begin to dance and chase each other around the cars. After this they both run into a supermarket while the same black background follows them, Madonna and Timberlake begin singing in the isle of the supermarket and then begin to dance on treadmills that are located outside of the supermarket. They then run into a bathroom and start to strip down there clothing while the black background follows and changes the scene where they begin performing choreography in front of a screen that is counting down from four minutes. The video ends with the black background finally getting them and starts to eat away each others skin.
