This is s fresh most competent DivX conversion from DVD with a most lovely picture and two selectable audio tracks, either two channel stereo or six channel surround sound home theater.
Video converted at 640 X 480 800kb video rate 128k 44khz audio
French subtitles are included for the DivX disc player units however their computer players seem to need a fix, as they seem to like to hang too often or simply not display subtitles we all know are there. So if you'd like the lovely French subtitles we included in this conversion (to last all time!) please place the file on a disc for viewing on your television system. Merci!
This is another great movie that was buried by the studios as they seem to differ in taste from us that have more sensitive needs. The inane sounds you hear in place of what was nice disco music is disconcerting for most of us that prefer better alternatives of the past.
The last days of disco is a movie about a certain lifestyle and certainly has great music in it too. In fact great songs from the soundtrack are included in a separate zip file included with this torrent and available separately as well if its just the music files you are missing in your collection.
The movie gives you a nice contrast (sort of a "sense and sensibility" from the disco era) between the characters of Kate Beckinsale and Chloe Sevigny. In looking at the American dating scene back then, the different allure of blonde versus brunette come alive in this lovely motion picture.
Disco was a time when people were more tasteful in their picks both in music, choice of dress and manner of articulation. This is therefore a nice movie for "kids" of all ages too who grow up into better adults if they are given better examples of how to interact than is too much in the vogue today, by comparison in the alternatives.
Its a great movie to fall in love too, as for me Kate Beckinsale in particular is a really spicy offering of great stuff with much allure in her personality which appears astute and attuned to the sensibilities around here, While Chloe Sevigny comes across as a gal looking for a nice hug she'd like to share
There's always a debate as to a balance of these sensibilities and someday we will have found the ideal in these gals having come to a realization of where it was at so to speak.
This is a great movie not only to remember the era by, but also to hopefully see a renaissance of sorts to the genre of disco in our midst once again. The movie industry appears to enjoy social engineering along the lines of burying the movies that give us better models to emulate whether in this movie or in "White mischief". In this regard I would say their abuse must come to an end and we claim the movies as our own, rescued from the recycle bin at Hollywood inane studios inc.
(It would have cost them nothing to give this movie away instead - but then that requires heart! cest la vie!!!!!)
