This is a pre-compiled self contained app for Mac OS X. Just mount dmg and copy to the Applications folder.

ProjectX is a DVB demux tool for SD & HDTV video. It\'s able to extract all the PIDs from the source file including closed caption teletext. Subtitles can be saved as STL for DVD Studio Pro or as SRT for other programs like SubMerge, other subtitle formats are also supported.

It is also very good for resyncing various audio/video playback issues. In addition to demux output, new output streams like .m2p mpeg program streams and .ts transport streams can be created from source files for use with other utilities like MPEG StreamClip, etc..

I personally find it a very handy tool as part of the process of creating SD DVDs with subtitles from EyeTV 1080i HDTV recordings with CC Teletext. Just demux the 1080i HDTV streams into .m2v (and .ac3/.stl), then resize and re-encode the HD .m2v using Apple\'s Compressor to a SD DVD .m2v stream for use in DVD Studio Pro.
