The Mambo Virtual Appliance for web designers and system admins who want a simple, fast way to get a base linux server, with out of the box Mambo, up and running, so that they can serve to the web, or just develop Mambo sites.
I built this Virtual Appliance as an easy way to get a fresh installation of Mambo up and running on a testing server so that i can build templates, see what they look like, and get them ready for production deployment elsewhere and that would be the main use i suggest this for. It is perfect for the Mambo developer or beginner who wants to experiment.
Of course if you want to quickly set a a server to host Mambo you can simmply use this Appliance as is, although i suggest changing all of the passwords for security, incuding the mysql password. So if you have a spare computer you could get a Mambo server up and running in no time and start publishing on the internet without paying for hosting.
The base system is Fedora Core 5 - 2.6.17-1.2174_FC5
Mambo Version 4.5.3h
