AUTODESK FLAME & SMOKE 2009 For LINUX 64 platforms !
We are pleased to announce the availability of the 2009 releases for Autodesk® Flame® and Autodesk® Smoke® systems software.
These new releases include a comprehensive creative toolset that combines high performance with versatile, productive workflows to benefit the entire facility. Together, these releases represent the most open and collaborative Autodesk solutions to date.
With complete clip compatibility, interoperability with third-party applications, and now with support for streaming media formats including Panasonic® P2 and compressed Apple® QuickTime® files, Autodesk systems can play an integral role as part of a facility-wide workflow.
New in 2009:
· Enhanced creative tools
· Support for playback of streaming media formats, Panasonic® P2 media files and compressed Apple® QuickTime® files
· Expanded codec support and audio capabilities
· Enhanced workflow and greater interoperability with third-party applications
· Productivity tools such as Autodesk® WiretapCentral™ software for remote browsing of clip libraries

IMPORTANT:
You will need to update to DKU 3.0.0 for all Linux platforms (provided). See the Release Notes for information on how to use the DKU tar.

Licensing
If you are an eligible subscription customer, you will soon be receiving a new license for the 2009 version of your product.
BEWARE:
These applications do not run under the commercial distribution of Red Hat Enterprise Linux but only with Autodesk distribution of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation 4.
One DVD, included with your release shipment. The Autodesk distribution installs the Linux
software packages Autodesk applications require; these applications do not run under the
commercial distribution of Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 4 . If you received a new system with
this release, your shipment also included the CD set for the commercial distribution of Red
Hat Enterprise Linux WS 4 . Do not use this commercial distribution; use the DVD
distribution instead. You can use the commercial distribution to activate your Red Hat
subscription if it is not already activated.
