Dancemixcollection - KILLING JOKE

Welcome to my dancemix-torrent No. 17

What's this?
This dancemix is in general a kind of greatest-hits-compilation in a special way. Burned in a proper way to an Audio-CD you will have a continous flow of music, without gaps interrupting it. Most of the tracks are not complete in this way, it's faded in and out often after half of the original track. For this, every original track was speeded up or down a little bit at overlapping points for matching the drumbeats. The special technique used to do this prevents the audience from really realizing the speeding.

If this band wouldn't be called KILLING JOKE, they had to be named "Chameleons" (yes there is already another band with this name). I want to say with this that KILLING JOKe is a band, can't be put into a box with a label on it. Is there something typical? Probably yes, their excellent guitarwork and the vocals identifying the band after some seconds as itself on every track. How does it sound? Sometimes like Motörhead, sometimes like Metallica, their pop-songs sounding like a top-80's-band. So what shall I say about? Download and listen, it will need to grow for some of you, but finally after the 3rd or 4th listen, they will got you like me, I am very sure. My favourite album of KJ is "Brighter Than A Thousand Suns" from 1986. My compilation may not be typical for the band, but I like it very much. Sometimes this mix is really like drivin' a rollercoaster because of the different styles of music they made. So I will point to some special tracks here: PANDEMONIUM - a hard rockin track, with an awesome arrangement, EIGHTIES - a more post-punk oriented track, same with RUBICON, CHESSBOARDS is a melodic piece of pop-heavy music, FOLLOW THE LEADERS - punkish again, drumwork reminds me very much to "Adam and the ants", TWILIGHT OF THE MORTALS - even much more pop additionally with nice synth layers, the song AEON - a pearl of harder rock, while ECSTACY is a pop-song. MATHEMATICS OF CHAOS an uptempo heavy piece, cooling down then with SANITY - very melodic pop followed then by ADORATIONS - synth layered beautiful, LOVE LIKE BLOOD in nearly full length is connecting to it, their biggest commercial success, don't tell me you never heard that song. If so, I am allowed to ask if you sleeped during the 80s. BLOODSPORT - is a song consisting only of one typical guitar-riff, here the live-version. The following three songs MULTITUDES, VICTORY and LOVE OF THE MASSES connects you back to the synth-layered pop-world. DEMOCRACY is the opener for the final of this mix - a really powerful hard rocking piece, but very melodic too. The final itself is a killer-song called INVOCATION. Hard to describe, it's a strange mix of hard driving drums, oriental sounding strings and aggressive vocals. It's so damned powerful, unstoppable, a song for eternity. I speeded it up, so it's 10% faster than the original, but it's ace in this way, pls. try it out! For sure it will kick you!

It is impossible for me to give all my torrents a seed, hope there are some "real fans" outside, seeding their favourite mixes for a long time and protecting it in this way from dead.
