Hundreds of locations for players creates a large, fully explorable world with seven continents. Highly developed storyline and characters offer fifteen chapters of gameplay.

Simple interface allows players to tap into the complex options of the game, without overly complex menus. In addition to the main character, players may choose from eight companions, each with a unique background story, motivation and skill set.

Engage enemies in a combat system that has all the strategy of turn based combat, but keeps the game fast paced. Over 140 NPCs that respond to your characters with over 5 hours of recorded dialog.

Experiment with item combinations to create over 100 spell effects by collecting a deck of "Fate Cards". Hundreds of Items and Weapons allow you to tweak out your characters.

In Septerra Core, the player takes the Role of Maya. During the game, she will meet eight other companions who will join her on her quest to save the world. The player's party is limited to a maximum of three characters at any time, while the rest of the companions remain waiting in towns and Inns. Each character has a unique story and motivation, as well as unique skill sets that not only allow for different combat action, but also different approaches to exploration. Therefore, selecting a good team for a given task becomes important.

Maya - Female main character from Shell 2; A rifle-wielding adventuress. Her village was wiped out ten years ago by Doskias's men.

Araym - Male bounty hunter from Shell 4; Formerly a Jinam explosives expert from Shell 5 before losing both arms to a war injury. Now a mercenary with mechanical rocket arms. He knows a lot about explosives.

Badu - Blind Underlost from Shell 7; a knife-wielding savage, he 'sees' with an organic RADAR

Corgan - Swordsman from Shell 3. He is in love with the late Holy Guard captain Bowman's daughter, Layla. After Selina's men wiped out his hometown, he swore to destroy her.

Grubb - Male mechanic from Shell 2. A staff-wielding inventor who built the Workbots for the town that Maya and he grew up in, though they are abused constantly by the Mayor.

Led - Female mechanic from Shell 5; A wrench-wielding Ankaran engineer. A training injury left her with mechanical legs, ever since her father has been very protective of her. She grows to be very fond of Grubb.

Lobo - Cyborg Jinam pirate from Shell 6. Once a slave-soldier of Jinam, his limitation device was removed after he was abandoned, allowing him free will.

Runner - A giant mechanical dog loyal to Grubb, its inventor.

Selina - A Chosen Swordswoman from Shell 1. Former lover of the Chosen leader Doskias, and Corgan's enemy. Even though Doskias left her for another, due to her poor lineage, it is apparent she still cares deeply for him.

Doskias - A powerful Chosen and direct descendant of Marduk. He destroyed Maya's hometown ten years ago while fighting with another Chosen. Now he is bent on fulfilling the Legacy of the Creator at any cost.

Enter a world where the laws of nature work in strange new ways, allowing continents to orbit at different elevations around the planet. Living battleships float overhead and Junk Pirates roam the darkness. This is a world who's very Core is a living computer, quietly watching over the fruits of its master’s creation.

On the Outer Shell Layer above, the ancient society of the Chosen live an extravagant lifestyle, consuming mass amounts of energy and dumping their waste onto the Layers below. They have discovered secrets about the world in which they live, and begin a descent towards the inner Core, caring not who gets in their way.

Into these events you are drawn. You take the role of Maya, a Junk Scavenger from World Shell 2, directly below the Chosen’s Layer. It is here that you make your living, sifting through the trash to find useful items to sell, always wary of the giant ships that darken the skies above. As the Chosen and their fleet of battleships begin their descent to the Core, war looms over the land. The many nations of the Lower Levels, including your own, are threatened by the exodus and fear the destruction to come.

Leaving her home behind, Maya strikes out intending to warn the Lower nations of the coming Chosen, and soon finds herself in the middle of the battle for freedom.

Standing against Maya are the forces of Doskias, a Chosen Lord who sees himself as the savior of Septerra, a man who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. In his desire to obtain the power of the Core he upsets the delicate clockwork of the planet ... dooming the world to destruction.
Maya must stand against him. Finding allies as well as enemies in the society of the Chosen, she begins to unravel what Doskias has wrought, and starts down the path to obtaining the Gift of the Creator, prophesied as the power that will save the world.

In a world where the boundaries of good and evil are blurred, only the strong will survive to see a new dawn ... and a new era, as you solve the Legacy ... and look upon the face of the Creator.
