The Culture Show is at the National Gallery in London, where a major exhibition of Picasso paintings is on show - Picasso: Challenging the Past. Andrew Graham-Dixon and Lauren Laverne present a special programme about the life and work of Picasso.

Music comes from Swedish indie band Peter, Bjorn and John - with their appropriately titled song, Blue Period Picasso.

Just a little note. I am not sure if this is part of the actual series or a special they put in becasue of Picassos thing that is going on at the London Gallery. Mainly I think this because there were orginally supposed to be 16 episodes and this episode doesnt run the usual title sequence, it has a much more sedate version. This is the 16th episode, however another Culture Show Uncut has sprung up on digiguide for next friday.

So i have gone for the option that it isnt in the series and is 'A Culture Show Special' and next weeks episode will be the last in the series, making 16 episodes for the Culture Show Uncut sereis 2 and 4 specials (Angelina Jolie, Liverpool Capital of Culture, Alfred Blendell & Picasso). I will finish updating the episode guide in the forums over the next few days.
