From the BBC website (http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/kerwhizz/).
Kerwhizz is 'The Quiz with Added Whizz'.
Three terrific teams answer "ker-razy" questions to win "Mods" for their racing Pods. They then shoot around a fantastic Raceworld to find out who the day's smartest, fastest team is.
Each programme has it's own special Raceworld, and the audience are given the chance to guess what it is before it's revealed. These raceworlds vary from the historical (Egypt World) to the hysterical (Hat-trick Highway). The three teams have to use their Pod Mods wisely to help them in the race. Of course this doesn't always happen!
The show is interactive, allowing the viewer to participate fully in finding answers to the questions, and develop an allegiance to the six fabulous characters that make up the teams.
Kerwhizz is designed to be involving, informative and, most importantly, an exhilarating experience for the 4-6 year old age range.
Michael Carrington, Controller, CBeebies, has unveiled the latest innovation from the UK's favourite pre-school channel, CBeebies. Kerwhizz is a brand new breakthrough multi-platform entertainment format aimed at 4 to 6-year-olds.
Kit and Kaboodle
Kit and Kaboodle make up Team Kit. Kit is not quite as clever as she thinks she is, while Kaboodle brings real spark to the show.
Twist and Snout
Team Twist are the dynamic Twist and Snout. At least, Twist thinks he's dynamic and is certain he has "style". Snout is more thoughtful, which should be a positive trait. Except that all he thinks about are sprouts, his favourite food.
Ninki and Pip
Team Ninki consist of Ninki and Pip, two characters who couldn't be more different. Ninki is bright, but impetuous and very talkative. Pip is the cleverest character of all, but is rarely listened to. It doesn't help that he can only bark.
Kerwhizzitor is the cool questionmaster and race-commentator who guides the viewer through the show.
Ninki, Twist and Kit are faced with a race that promises to be out of this world, but first they must answer some Kerwhizzical questions and win those all-important Pod Mods. Who will win this rocketing rollercoaster of a ride?
