Crown Court was courtroom drama which ran between 1972 to 1984 and shown in the afternoons on ITV where it was produced by Granada Television. A court case in the Crown Court of the fictional town of Fulchester would typically be played out over three weekdays in half-hour episodes. Although those involved in the case were actors, the jury was made up of members of the general public from the local Granada Television area and it was this jury alone which decided the verdict.

THE NIGHT FOR COUNTRY DANCING: REGINA v AIREY
Synopsis: Self Employed hairdresser Barbara Airey is accused of attempting to defraud the Inland Revenue. With her two children at private school and a new car and two holiday's a year she appears to be living way beyond her means. So why is she pleading not guilty?
