First-up in this culinary showdown in Teesside is, flash local DJ Wayne Allen, who describes himself as a "natural entertainer" and isn't short of some showbiz confidence. But keeping all his guests happy is going to be a hard task. Perfectionist foodie Jayne Laverick is into fine dining and posh nosh; but unemployed mum of four Michele Small hates anything pretentious. Meanwhile, bank manager, Dave Fishlock plans to be an enigma with a game plan to be as nice as possible to win points. So when they all meet, it's not surprising that Jayne's talk about the fine food she's eaten rubs Michele up the wrong way. And Michele doesn't gel much with Wayne either, thinking he's a bit of a show off after he tells them about all the celebrities he's met. Wayne, though, thinks it's all gone swimmingly.
