At Butlers the Sugden's are clearing up after the party. Diane is telling Jack that Denise is Daz's mother and she has a right to see him. Jack tells her that she doesn't in his book and an approaching Victoria asks who doesn't and Jack tells her she is meant to be playing with Pye, she walks away with the dog. Katie tells them that Denise kept saying she had changed, Jack tells her that she has heard it all before and Victoria squats around a corner where she can listen. Katie asks him what she should say if she keeps turning up, Jack tells her to keep her mouth shut and that Denise will soon get fed up of trailing over from Manchester. Diane asks what they are going to tell Daz and Andy tells her 'nothing' what he doesn't know wont hurt him, Jack agrees that she's best off out of his life. Andy asks Jack to have a look at the bailer while he is there, they head off leaving Diane and Katie alone. Katie shows Diane the note that Denise left, she tells Diane that she doesn't know what to do with it. Victoria is watching and listening to everything.
In the village Len is chasing after Pearl, he tells her that she is supposed to come home for lunch instead of messing around with the work from home flowers. Pearl tells him that she is just getting the hang of it and he reminds her that they were going to send them back. Pearl tells him that if she doesn't get halfway through by that night then she will give up. Len tells her that she needs to eat and gives her a kiss. Pearl continues on her way.
In the Woolpack Paddy is telling Marlon how lovely Del is, he says he can't believe that she fancies him. Toni is behind the bar listening sulkily. Marlon comments that the first date went well then and Paddy agrees apart from Toni's little input. Marlon suggests that maybe she is a little bit jealous and he reiterates that he did everything except proposing and she didn't want him. He says this in Toni's direction. Marlon tells him that Donna has been in a mood since last night. He says that he can see her envious of Kelly having Rodney and his ever open cheque book, weighing up who has the best deal. Paddy doesn't help the situation by saying that Kelly has landed on her feet, he also tells Marlon that he might have bigger problems commenting that Donna treats Daisy like a baby. Paddy mouths the words quietly and a horrified Marlon says them out loud. Paddy tells him it is hardly surprising with Viv having fertility secretions, he tells Marlon that Donna's hormones will be in competition. Marlon is practically panic stricken when Del walks in and approaches their table. She goes to give Paddy a kiss and they have an awkward moment where they don't know which way to turn there heads, Del grabs his face and the two giggle, Toni's behind the bar fuming.
