Plot Summary:
Al Murray's Happy Hour is a chat show presented by comedian Al Murray and produced by Avalon TV. Murray presents the programme in his Pub Landlord persona: a stereotypically nationalistic, chauvinistic character. The show contains stand-up, guest interviews and live music. The show ends with Murray performing a Queen song with the musical guest.

The award-winning Al Murray throws open his doors for the first time this year, welcoming more big-name celebrities and leading musicians into his establishment. Guests today include Barbara Windsor and James Blunt. And one UK act will be allowed to perform - on the condition that they finish with a classic hit from the landlord's favourite band, Queen. Plus, Cerys Matthews and Marc Bannerman give their first TV interview after leaving the I'm A Celebrity jungle.

Al Murray's guests tonight include Ben Miller, one half of acclaimed double-act Armstrong and Miller, and star of ITV's Primeval and Moving Wallpaper. Music is provided by one of Britain's most highly-rated new bands, the chart-topping Scouting for Girls. Will they succumb to pressure from The Guv and perform another Queen classic?

The Pub Landlord welcomes more big-name celebrities and leading musicians into his establishment to listen to some common sense advice in his gaff. This week guests are Mel B, James May from Top Gear, Dale Winton and David Jordan.

The One Show's Adrian Chiles, Lembit Opik MP and his partner Cheeky Girl Gabriela Irimia, and best-selling Irish boyband Westlife join the pub landlord tonight, with award-winning group The Feeling providing the music.

The nation's favourite landlord welcomes Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole, presenter Holly Willoughby and talk show host Trisha Goddard into his gaff. Plus music from The Hoosiers, who will be performing tracks from their chart-topping album, The Trick to Life. Regulars Big Bob and Pub of the Week are on hand for some quick-fire banter.

The Pub Landlord welcomes Torchwood star John Barrowman, boxer Ricky 'The Hitman' Hatton and presenter Myleene Klass into his establishment to listen to some common sense advice in his gaff. And there's music from chart-topping Brit band Hard-Fi.

The pub landlord throws open the doors of his establishment once more, tonight playing host to singer turned Corrie actress Kym Ryder, Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan, and outspoken critic and director Michael Winner. And there's music from leading Brit band The Wombats.

The pub landlord's guests tonight are England rugby captain Phil Vickery, daytime TV stalwarts Richard and Judy and actor Alan Dale. With music from Scottish songstress KT Tunstall.

The nation's favourite pub landlord laughs you into the weekend with his unique blend of comedy and celebrity chat. Tonight he chats to Lord of the Rings and King Kong star Andy Serkis, magician Paul Daniels, and Kelly Osbourne, plus there's music from gravel-voiced Canadian rocker Bryan Adams.

Plus music from legendary new wave band Squeeze.

Another laughter-filled lock-in with The Pub Landlord and more of his favourite celebrities. Joining Al for a pint tonight are Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint, Blur bassist-turned-country gent Alex James and GMTV presenter Penny Smith. Music comes from recent NME Award winners The Enemy.

Originally Aired: 4th April 2008

The nation's favourite landlord opens his doors and interviews stars of stage and screen, including former England manager Terry Venables, Essex-girl Denise Van Outen and My Family's Kris Marshall. So expect another Friday night brimming with quick-fire banter and live music supplied by the re-formed Queen.
