Recording artists Evil Survives in March of 2008 finally had a pefect full time line-up and composed Metal Vengeance that they would later record. ES entered the studio of acclaimed audio engineer Jon Paul Peters, (Comeback Kid, Waking Eyes, Port Amoral) Private Ear studios, in June of 2008. (War on Music Records) released Evil Survives debut album “Metal Vengeance” in October of 2008. Since the release Relapse records has picked up their LP, and has been selling out of the copies faster than we can send them. Evil Survives also has full time day jobs, and is one of the hardest working bands around.
Their first 2 week tour was covering Western Canada in October, 2008 in support of metal vengeance. After their first tour they returned in November and starting writing ferociously again for an EP which they wanted to be a homage to the greatest experience of their lives (A Judas Priest show). War on music dubbed it (“"British Heavy Metal from Winnipeg, Evil Survives delivers a pummelling 11 min EP. This record will time-warp you back to an arena parking lot in '82 where you belong.") The EP was released February 20th, 2009 to a packed house at the Royal Albert (tons of buzz of Evil Survives in Winnipeg leading to 3 sold out shows). The artwork was done by legendary thrash artist “Ed Repka (Megadeth, Death, Vio-lence, Three Inches of Blood). Following the release of “Judas Priest Live” they performed at Manitoba Metalfest, opening right before Canadian thrash legends Razor. Evil Survives booked a 3 week western tour slated for April 2009 (in support of their EP), but this time booked 7 gigs in the U.S.A to gain more exposure. While in the states they performed on Hollywood blvd with Seven Witches (Sanctuary Records). A scout for Prosthetic records was present and liked ES’s material (was talking about releasing Metal Vengeance on CD format), as well as Bill Metoyer (Engineer for Metal Blade). Evil Survives has also played with Three Inches of Blood, Evile, and SNFU on their western Canadian tour. . ES will soon be performing in Europe and beyond in 2010.
The band is tighter than ever and is writing their yet untitled new album that they hope will be released by the end of 2009. Ed Repka again will paint the portrait front cover.
