OK Go is a rock band originally from Chicago, now residing in Los Angeles. The band is currently composed of Damian Kulash [lead vocals and guitar], Tim Nordwind [bass guitar and backing vocals], Dan Konopka [drums and percussion] and Andy Ross [keyboards, guitar and backing vocals], who joined them in 2005 in replacement of Andy Duncan. The original members formed as OK Go in 1998 and released two studio albums before Duncan's departure. The band is notable for their unusual dress sense and their energetic music videos — in particular, those for their two most successful singles, 'A Million Ways' and 'Here It Goes Again'.
'Here It Goes Again' is a power pop song by OK Go, and is the third released single from the album Oh No. It also appears on the compilation album Now 23. It remains the band's only single to reach the Billboard Hot 100, where it entered the Top 40 at No.38. Originally planned to be named "The Treadmill Song" this idea was scrapped as the band thought it would confuse people who hadn't seen the video. The music video of the song - which was arguably responsible for the song's U.S. Top 40 success - is an elaborate performance of the band dancing on treadmills in a single continuous take. Choreographed by Trish Sie and directed by Sie and the band, it took a total of seventeen attempts to complete the video. The video debuted on YouTube on July 31st 2006 and, as of July 31st 2008, has been viewed over 37.5 million times making it the 25th most viewed video on the website of all time. Notably, the music video is also the 4th most favourited Youtube video. It premiered on VH1's Top 20 Countdown that same day. OK Go performed the dance routine live at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. The music video won the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video and the 2006 YouTube awards for Most Creative Video. The song's video is parodied in The Simpsons episode "Husbands And Knives", where Marge has difficulties with treadmills at a local gym. In a 2007 episode of Gran Hermano, the Argentinean version of Big Brother, the contestants had to mimic the performance on treadmills, this was repeated in the 2008 series of Big Brother UK.
