The Rogues 103 - The Stefanini Dowry (27 Sep 1964) sample frame from video
The Rogues is about a family of confidence tricksters who rob extremely wealthy individuals who thought nothing about the people they stepped on in making their fortunes. The main members of the gang are all cousins and include two Englishmen (David Niven and Robert Coote), a Frenchman (Charles Boyer) and an American (Gig Young). One of them would generally take the lead role in each episode.
In this episode, Tony attempts to recover a diamond necklace that was formerly in the family's possession, but was lost by an ancestor 106 years ago. The necklace is now in the New York hotel room of a visiting dictator, who is planning to sell his country's crown jewels for his personal profit.
