In days of old, when knights were bold, valiant young Lancelot comes to Camelot to join King Arthur's Round Table. In each episode he rights a wrong or rescues a damsel in distress, accompanied by lots of swordplay, horseplay, and scenic backgrounds. Star William Russell would later become famous in Doctor Who as companion Ian Chesterton.

In this episode, Sir Richard of Taunton is attacked and beaten by three men and left for dead. His uncle plans to substitute his own son, who resembles Richard, to gain control of the family estate. Lancelot is suspicious and starts investigating.

Unlike ITC's other 'Adventures of...' historicals like Robin Hood, half of the 30 episodes of The Adventures of Sir Lancelot were filmed in color, even though in 1957 they were only broadcast in black and white. This is the 6th of the 12 surviving color episodes.
