THE NAME OF THE GAME -3x24- THE SHOWDOWN 3/19/1971
Glen Howard (Gene Barry) plans to serialize a book by author Rita Mason which immortalizes the story of brave Marshall John Weatherford and his shoot out with the cowardly Manning brothers. He goes to the western town where the showdown occurred to investigate a diary that may prove that the story told in the book is a falsehood. As he gets deeper into the story told in the diary, the scene changes to the town of the 1880s. The citizens of the modern time take on the rolls of their ancestors and Gene Barry becomes Will Manning the supposed outlaw.
