Von makes an unscheduled homecare visit to Robyn, a woman in her fifties, who suffers from Multiple System Atrophy - a terminal illness. Von's shocked to find Robyn slumped on her couch semi-conscious and she immediately calls an Ambulance. Von arrives at All Saints with Robyn, the Paramedics, and a bag of Robyn's medications, one of which has had its label removed and hasn't been charted. Frank works out that the mystery drug is a barbiturate, and the Resus team sets about reversing its effects. But several questions remain unanswered: Why did Robyn take such a lethal medical cocktail? And how did she get the drugs? Von orders Robyn's homecare nurse, Sam, to come in and explain. As more information about the incident is revealed and concealed, it becomes an ethical quagmire through which Von and Bart, in particular, must wade carefully.

Harry arrives not long after via taxi and his blasé reaction to the accident is soon replaced by guilt and fear when he sees his best mate having a seizure in Resus. Later, still drunk and disorientated, Harry stumbles into Resus to find Mike and Jack doing burr holes on Pete. He's horrified and tries to stop the procedure. When Harry can't be calmed, Steve throws him out of the ED and the fight continues in earnest to save Pete's life. Harry's left to rue his poor judgement while Dan reaches a new decision about his impending buck's party.
