Documentary about Terry Wallis, who suddenly awoke in 2004 after having been in a coma for nineteen years. Follows his family as they take him to see neurologists and how he and they try to come to terms with what has happened and what has changed. Terry in particular finds it hard to adjust to the fact that he is not nineteen and that his 4 month old daughter is now a grown woman. Also touches on the case of Roy King, a British man who briefly lost consciousness after a car accident, but which changed his life completely as it affected his ability to feel love.
