NahemaH is the result of the artistic interests of six musicians placed in Alicante, a mediterranean city of Spain. The project was born in early 1997 and it became, more than a band, a way of life.
The first step was the releasing of our debut album "Chrysalis" (2001, Iberian Moon Records). In this stage the influences came from bands like Dark Tranquillity or Opeth. The album proved to be very successful. It received very good reviews in the media and it gave us the opportunity of playing with bands like Moonspell or Alastis. The popularity we got in Spain was reflected on the results of the "Hell Awaits" 2002 poll (the most important extreme metal magazine in our country). NahemaH was the most nominated band by the readers. And in the other side of the Atlantic Ocean (Concreto Records, Mexico) a special edition of the "Chrysalis" album was released.
Without losing the energy and essence of the extreme metal, NahemaH's style has evolved into a genuine sound. There has been influences from other styles like post-rock, emo-core, stoner rock, new electronic music ... As a result of this mixture there are ten songs with a solid concept.
NahemaH has created its own way of expression, reaching a characteristic style.A Little tour in Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Zaragoza...) has shown us that people had an enthusiastic response to our new songs. This has reinforced the possibilities of the new album.
On 2006, we played in concerts with people like the swedish band Centinex, and played in the semifinal on the european music contest "Bilborock" and we were playing on the stage of the international "Existence Festival" in Valencia (Spain) with And One, The Invincible Spirit, Nosferatu, and many spanish dark bands.
On January 2007 Lifeforce Records releases NahemaH's second full length, “The Second Philosophy”. With a new record and a new label, NahemaH's desire is to share their art and music with the world.
