From a Second Story Window was a progressive metalcore band formed in 2002 by the name of Aphasia, but changed their name in 2003. From a Second Story Window was based in "Ohiovania" They have continuously produced music that reflects the changing influences and diverse attitudes within the band. They have described their music as such for "people with Attention Deficit Disorder". The band's first EP, originally self-released as "The Cassandra Complex", was repackaged and rereleased by Black Market Activities as "Not One Word has been Omitted" in 2004. In 2006 the band released "Delenda", their first full length record under Black Market Activities and Metal Blade. After releasing their second album FASSW toured throughout North America and Europe. Touring continuously since "Delenda"'s prerelease, From a Second Story Window took time off from the road in the summer of 2007 to complete the writing of their second full length album, "Conversations",which was released May 27, 2008. The CD was different from their previous works, to the dismay of many of their fans. They took a more musical and melodical approach to their writing style and left out some of the previous grindcore influences. They toured Europe in 2007, along with Walls of Jericho, Born From Pain, Fear My Thoughts, All Shall Perish, and Freya. On August 29, 2008, in a myspace blog, the band announced that they had disbanded.
