Both "Rock of Love 3" and "Sober House" are doing exactly what I need them to: gaining seeders within hours who stick around when I can't. I don't know how big the crossover over is, but thanks to anyone helping on that front, as well as on this one. With your help, the doings of horrible people are spread like a thin coating of polyurethane over the globe. I know I can't think of a better use of the Net.

Someone last week asked how this is done. It's a very simple 3 step process that requires only 3 programs, one of which you already have by default. It goes like this (for a more detailed analysis I recommend afterdawn.com):

1) Record the show, using the highest quality machine, disc and setting you can.....assuming you use a DVD-R get the original capture.

2) Decrypt the disc using DVD Decrypter (a free easy to find program) in IFO mode. This will create three files: one .TXT, one .IFO and one .VOB . Keep the VOB, throw out the other two.

3) Run the VOB through AutoGK (another free program). Toy with the settings until you get it how you like. Learn from my mistakes. Did you know people don't like a half hour show to be over two gigs in size and to take hours to download? They're funny like that.

4) Upload with your favorite client.

For a solid hour of video, you should be done in about two hours.

I am self-taught and I'm sure there are much easier, better methods that I have absolutely no interest in learning, at least not now.
