After Brat disbanded due to the lack of getting a break for success, a couple of members formed Atomik Cocktail to finish what they started.
They didn’t exactly achieve what they had set out for themselves since the Florida based foursome didn't get much further than cult status.
But let it be said that the boys tried, and tried hard, because this album (originally from 1991) is actually a small gem in the US Melodic Metal department. New singer Todd Plant has a, to metal standards, soulful & rough voice but is also able to tackle those high notes whenever they are in order.
Musically Atomik Cocktail travelled along the same route as Brat although they kept things a little simpler which made their music more accessible: choruses are easily shout-able & guitars-riffs are made for air guitar contests.
