Not to be confused with the band, Nickelodeon's 1980 anime series Belle and Sebastian finally gets into download territory! Based on the French novels by Cécile Aubry and following the 1965 French live-action television series of the same name, this is the heartwarming story of Sebastian and his large Pyrenees dog as they roam the European countryside looking for Sebastian's mother, all the while avoiding the police who inadvertantly believe that Belle is dangerous and wish to return Sebastian to his relatives in France. Among the most popular cartoons of Nickelodeon's early days, Belle and Sebastian (AKA Meiken Jolie) ran for 10 years and now can be in your hands as a complete set if you play your cards right.

Someone on Demonoid.com uploaded the first 26 episodes of this series touting to have the entire series ready to upload. Personally, I watched this show from the age of 6 and up and have been searching for it for years, so I don't care if I step on any toes uploading the torrent here if it leads to helping get them all spread out once and for all. The demonoid uploader claims to be waiting for better seeding before loading the rest of the series, but the seeding is not what it should be. Plus the fact that they only open their registrations once in a blue moon has left me without the ability to download the second pack of episodes, and the first pack's seeders seem to have run off leaving me at about 60% complete.

I'm hoping that spreading this torrent here will help us get this series complete, and I ask that anyone who is either a member of demonoid or has downloaded episodes 1-17 upload the torrent here (as many demonoid torrents end up here anyway) and give the uploader some extra incentive to upload episodes 29 to the end. This was one of my favorite childhood shows and I'm beyond desperate, so please get this moving. I'll keep seeding them for as long as it takes. Quality, by the way, is about 8 out of 10 and the source appears to be the rather pricey bootleg DVDs available over the internet. If this journey I'm undertaking right now doesn't pan out, I might buy the DVDs myself.... but I wouldn't count on any of my own pristine rips getting posted here for you stingy bas-- well... I'll be nice about it for now, but please don't just take this one and run if you have any desire to complete the set.

And a side note for you nickelodeon fans, I have made the best quality rips of Lancelot Link: Secret Chimp and intend to upload the 2.11GB torrent here soon. I don't want to hold it hostage waiting for Belle and Sebastian to seed better... but I do want to seed this one out a bit more before loading up Lance. Enjoy!
