Pitfall is a video game released by Activision for the Atari 2600 in 1982.
It is one of the best selling games ever made for the Atari 2600, with over
2.6 million copies sold.
Pitfall 2 - Lost Caverns:
Pitfall 2 - Lost Caverns is a platforming video game originally released for
the Atari 2600 video game console in 1984. It is the sequel to the popular
Pitfall. Both games were designed and written by David Crane and published
by Activision. The star of the games is Pitfall Harry, an 8-bit Indiana
Jones-style character.
Super Pitfall:
Super Pitfall is a 1987 Japanese video game for the NES. It was the first
game ever that Activision published for a system made by Nintendo and it was
based upon Activision's earlier Pitfall series for the Atari 2600. A sequel
titled as Super Pitfall II was planned, but then was cancelled a short time
later. It was going to be the localized version of Sunsoft's Famicom title,
Atlantis no Nazo.
Atlantis no Nazo:
Atlantis no Nazo ("The Mystery of Atlantis") is a side-scrolling platform
game developed and published by Sunsoft and released for the Famicom in 1986.
Though the game was never released outside of Japan, a partially translated
version titled Super Pitfall 2 was under development by Activision for release
in North America.
Pitfall - the Mayan Adventure:
Pitfall - the Mayan Adventure is a video game released in 1994 for the Super
Nintendo and Sega Mega-CD by Activision. It was ported to the Sega Genesis
(1995), Sega 32X (1995), the Atari Jaguar (1995), PC (1995), and the
Game Boy Advance (2001). The Mega-CD, 32X and Windows ports contained extra
(and expanded) levels and other enhancements over the earlier versions.
The Windows port was based on the Mega-CD version, and made using Kinesoft's
Exodus game technology,
Pitfall 3D - Beyond the Jungle
Pitfall 3D - Beyond the Jungle (Pitfall 3D in Japan and Pitfall: Beyond the
Jungle in Europe) is a video game released in 1998 for the Sony PlayStation
by Activision and in 1999 for the Game Boy Color by Crave. The European and
American Game Boy Color versions do not have the "3D" moniker in the title
and in Japan it is simply known as Pitfall GB.
Pitfall - the Lost Expedition:
Pitfall - the Lost Expedition is an Action / Adventure game for the Game Boy
Advance, GameCube, PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. It was released for every
system except the PC by Activision on February 18, 2004. The PC version was
released on October 15, 2004.
