Jeff and his band, Avenue Blue are back with their second Bluemoon recording, naked city, revisiting the soul, funk and blues stylings that peppered his acclaimed debut. Adding their talents to the project are guests Bob James and Phoebe Snow, plus a new band of New York musicians.\' naked city\' features thirteen tracks.....ten Golub - penned originals, plus remakes of such pop classics as \"Baby I\'m Yours,\" \"Spooky,\" and \"Wildflower.\" The goal of the new album was to capture the mood and spontaneity of a live club date. For naked city, Jeff and co-producer Rick Braun went into the studio with a full rhythm section and more. Only the horns and a few keyboard and percussion parts were overdubbed. A lot of the tracks were recorded on the first or second take. naked city juxtaposes fluid warmth and cool textures to create moods and atmospheres that both soothe and surprise!
