If you don't have Euro Blade, or the Millennium single, or Virus, or if you are a completist or fanatic fan, this is a must buy. Almost everything has been changed somehow.
01 Digital Tension Dementia (Contagion Mix)
Differences: Clearer vocal work, vocal bits with echoes added, patterns rearranged a little, louder, cleaner mix. A few samples added. Much improved from original.
02 No Limit (Disintegration Mix)
Differences: Some instruments slightly muffled, others made more prominent. Echoes and lots of fades added. Not bad, but not much different from original, except for the certain small bits added.
03 Virus (Hybrid Remix)
Differences: Not many. The percussion sounds a little different. The vocals are a little clearer, but still shouted. The tinkly middle of the song is extended, and some samples are added.
Differences: A full 1:15 longer than the album version. This might be the single version. It doesn't sound like a remix, it is just longer. There are some vocals with echoes that are new, maybe a sample or two.
Differences: 20 seconds longer than the album version. The intro is almost completely different and very cool. This track almost sounds like a remix in some places. Again the mix is slightly improved.. probably remastered.
06 The Blade (ProGress Mix)
Differences: Identical to Euro Blade apparently. It's a very nice mix that is QUITE different from Blade Technohead and Blindfold. It has a neat trancy-techno synth in the intro, and the vocals are even more vocoded. They do some weird things with the small guitar bits as well. Lots of cool things added. I am told the Worldwide mix that is missing wasn't as different.
Differences: 3 seconds shorter than the Euro Blade version. Otherwise probably identical. Very cool, slow track... pretty original vocal work. The electronics are fabulous: TNI to the nth degree. The classic cough sample is still there, and still a tad annoying, although I guess it adds to the atmosphere.
Differences: 1 second shorter than Euro Blade version. Go figure. Sounds identical though. This track is fantastic. Infectious bassline and percussion. Strong beat. Imagine a mix between Final Impact and The Blade with a few extra things added.
Differences: None. Identical to the B-side of the same name found on the Mindphaser single. Extremely creative percussion, great vocals and music... dark and cyber. Lyrics are of the variety of "Mutants rule the earth". This track has only one problem. The chorus is horrid. You will be shocked the first time you hear it. Fortunately, we don't hear it often.
Differences: 9 seconds longer than the 12" single version! I don't know how or why, but it's longer. Some tiny things have been added. This very well may be the *original* version of Mindphaser, before it was edited in any way.
11 Millennium (Ashes to Ashes Mix)
Differences: Almost identical to the Left in Ruins mix off the single, just shorter, and using the original guitar work. The great new bassline from the single is also present here. This is VERY different from the album version bassline, and *much* better. If you already have the single, you will not be impressed.
12 Surface Patterns (Mission Control Mix)
Differences: Practically identical to any of the Surface Patterns remixes off the single. This also means it's quite different from the album version, but if you already have the single, you won't be impressed at all.
