Jonathan tries to get Jason's dad Miki to get to know his son little bit better and forget that he has cancer. Jason's dad wants to forget he has son altogether and continue going on tour.

Bless the Boys in Blue
Mark asks God to make Jonathan a cop for while. After 40 years Jonathan becomes human only to realize only to realize the harsh realities of being a policeman. Also Jonathan helps a police officer rid himself of his guilt after shooting a teenager while the teenager had an empty gun. When the police officer holds people hostage the father of the slain teenager tells why there were no bullets in see the gun his son was carrying.

Vinny sets out to help his daughter have for the dream come true. Vinny has his daughter becomes an actress by sounding different. When all she'd rather do is be herself.

The Devil and Jonathan Smith
Mark runs over a girl and overwrought with guilt, he is approached by a man named Jabez Stone, who offers to let the girl live if Mark gives his boss, the Devil, his soul. Mark signs a contract thinking that it's a con or something. But when the girl lives Mark turns to Jonathan but Jonathan says that there are rules about interefering with another entity even if it's the Devil. Mark's only hope is for them to get the contract. Jonathan enlists the aid of a grifter named C.J. Barabbas to help them. Only problem C.J.'s amoral. Now he approaches Stone and tells him of what Jonathan is planning, on the night that Stone's boss is suppose to take possession of Mark, Jonathan puts his plan in action but is caught and arrested. And Stone has the contract and his boss arrives and they go to Mark and when Stone opens the contract he is shocked to discover it isn't the contract. It seems that Barabbas' duplicity was all part of the plan. Jonathan who has the real contract, then destroys it saving Mark. Later before Stone's boss returns from whence he came, for his efforts he turns Stone into a mouse and leaves him with a cat.

Birds of a Feather
When Jonathan decides to ignore the boss’s next assignment he decides to stop in Rose Beach. He finds a very ill bird that dies moments later the due to water contamination. Jonathan decides to try to prove the point to the community of rose beach. He dresses up as a bird man and carries to lead dead birds to try and prove that Drake Technology is slowly poisoning its own community. The company doesn't want to admit to water contamination. But when a young boy becomes ill or after touching a bird the community begins to wonder how long it will take to clean up the contaminated water before someone dies.

Popcorn, Peanuts and CrackerJacks
Popcorn, peanuts, and crackerjacks Jonathan and Mark have to try and help a team that can never seem to win a single game and give and give a former baseball star the glory he once knew some 40 years ago.

The Smile in the Third Row
A new play about a man who dies and speaks to God opens. Jonathan is now a priest while Mark is now the dresser for, Fred Fusco, the actor who plays the lead. Fusco's a little morose. But after the plays first performance, he changes; he claims that God was in the audience. People think that he is trying to generate some publicity for the fledgling play, including Jonathan. But nevertheless it seems to work, the play is a smash and Fusco is changing especially after meeting a boy who has cancer. After the boy dies Fusco decides to bequeath all of his property and assets to an endownment in the boy's name. which makes his sister and nephew unhappy, cause they rely on him for their necessities. When he also announces that he will die soon, his sister tries to have him committed. And Jonathan who after telling Fusco that he thinks that he is a fraud and that he is an angel, and Fusco then apologizes to him after God tells him that Jonathan told him was true, decides to speak to God and asks him to try and show the world that Fred Fusco is not crazy. Now the final scene in the play is wherein his character floats up into air but on this night the harness is broken but at that very moment he floats up and disappears.
Episode 9 – Aired: 11/27/1985
While on their way to visit Mark's friends, Jonathan lashes back at some bullies. Because of this, Jonathan gets recalled. When Mark reaches his friends, he inadvertently slips out a bit of info that leads his friends to reveal to their eldest daughter that she was adopted. She then sets out fo find her birth mother. She then discovers that her adopted mother is her birth mother. It seems that years ago, she got pregnant and her aunt, who was her guardian forced her into putting her baby up for adoption. When she married her husband, she told him that she couldn't have children, so they adopted her. And when their second daughter was born she said it was a miracle. The husband upon hearing of this decides to leave her and the younger daughter joins him. Mark tries to help him but he refuses. Later Jonathan appears to Mark and tells him to go somewhere, and it turns out to be at an abortion clinic, and Mark's friend arrests the protesters. When he tells Mark that he agrees with what their doing Mark tells him that if his wife had aborted her child maybe none of this would have happened. When they go the courthouse to work their separation, he asks his wife to forgive him which she does. Later as Mark is driving, Jonathan appears saying that because of him, he's been given a second chance.

The Good Doctor
Jonathan and Mark go to work for a football team. Their mission is to help Alex Carpenter, a player, who is worried that he might be cut, so he takes pills. Dr. Hickey, the team doctor, who supplies him with the pills he takes, is also taking pills. His son, Neal who works with his father, who is constantly being pressured by his father to do better, is also taking pills, without his father's knowledge. When his son nearly dies, and learning that it's because of him that he is an addict. He admits that he is an addict too. When Alex admits his addiction, he goes to a support group meeting, and he is shocked to see his dealer, Dr. Hickey there, and is the guest speaker, but is stunned and moved when both he and his son admit their addiction.

A retarded teenager who is homeless and living in a box with Thomas (the cat) and Arnie was making a birthday wish has he blows out his candle mark and Jonathon appears from no where to make his dream come true to find happiness with loving family.

Jonathon and Mark are assigned to help UFO watcher Harvey Milsap gain custody of his recently orphaned grandson, Adam. Harvey's across-the-street neighbor Mildred Kelsey, who is furious when Harvey fools with his radio equipment while her soap is on, slowly but surely falls in love with him.

Change of Life
After he and Jonathon are assigned to protect the famous actress Linda Blackwell, Mark and the actress switch bodies to see what the other has to go through. Sam Quigley is an old friend of Mark who likes Linda, but is afraid to tell her. When Mark and Linda switch bodies, Sam isn't sure that Linda is the Linda he likes.

Jonathan runs into his wife but because he has a new name and form she doesn't recognize him. He goes to see her and asks if he and Mark could stay. She at first wouldn't let them but when he says, "keep smiling" which is something he always says in his ld form, she let them in. They see that she is lonely and their daughter lives far away and doesn't want to take the time to visit. Jonathan sends Mark to see his daughter and asks her to come visit her mother but she and her husband refuse to do so. When Jonathan learns of this he goes to her in the guise of a gigolo, and he riles them and they visit her.

To Bind the Wounds
A man's son has been MIA in Vietnam since 1968. When his remains are found, no one in his town comes to his funeral. He then tries to establish a scholarship in his son's name but the people who don't want to be reminded of the war, don't want to be a part of it. But Jonathan invades their dreams and reminds them of how much his son has done for them, like the man whose place he took in the draft and he didn't have to, the son of the town banker whose life he saved, and so on. After the scholarship for his son is established, Jonathan tells him that it's time for him to thank God, so Jonathan places him in an old bomber plane and it takes off, with Jonathan with him. Along the way Jonathan vanishes and his son appears and they go on together.

Sarah is the name of the little girl that was killed by a drunk driver. Wendy is the girl who helps her parents and the B & B.
Episode 20 – Aired: 3/5/1986
Mark and Jonathan try to reunite a mother with her son who is now the premier of the U.S.S.R. When he is told that his mom would like to see him he believes Jonathan is with the CIA and not an angel.
Episode 21 – Aired: 3/12/1986
Everett Soloman is a Nazi death camp survivor, who talks about his experience. Jan Baltic is a neo-Nazi. He was having one of his gatherings wherein he says that the Holocaust was a hoax. And at this thing is Soloman's son David, who calls Baltic a liar. Then Cal one of Baltic's people shoots David. He dies and when word reaches Soloman, he has a heart attack. Baltic and Cal are in Baltic's basement gloating about what they did and planning their next move. Then Baltic's son grabs one of the guns Baltic's has there and shoots them. Jonathan goes to Baltic's wife, who is trying to wipe the blood off the walls. She says that Jan was not always that way and Jonathan asks her when did he change and she says after he lost his job. He said that it was the Jews who were out to get him. Jonathan asks her if she would be willing to donate her husband's heart to Everett Soloman, who needs a transplant, she agrees. But Soloman upon learning that it's Baltic heart he will be getting, refuses. Jonathan tells him that he has responsibility to live so that he can continue to tell his story, Soloman is not sure if he can still go on. Later he has a dream and the people he loved including David tells him he has to go on. He has the operation and it appears to be a success.

Jonathan helps a novelist and his son both find inspiration in writing their next books and connecting with each other again.
Episode 23 – Aired: 4/30/1986
An overzealous TV reporter files a report on a home for teen-age mothers. The report threatens the very existance of the home. Also, a high school senior seeks advice from Jonathan on how to handle his future education, his angry father, and his pregnant girlfriend and unborn son.
Episode 24 – Aired: 5/7/1986
Jonathan helps a brainy but severly obese girl named Jenny gain self-esteem and deal with ridicule from her "friends." At one point, the snotty girls invite Jenny over to model a swimsuit, predictably leading to humiliation and the girl to gorge herself with doughnuts. Jonathan tells her the girls aren't her friends and helps her see that she has many other gifts people appreciate. Meanwhile, the angel sees that the jock (named Jack) that Jenny is tutoring needs to have his ego shaken, particularly since he considers the girl unsightly due to her weight. Jack had wanted to have a pretty cheerleader help him, but of course Jonathan can see where that is headed.
