DARIA SEASON 1

In the community of Lawndale, Daria Morgendorffer is a girl who stands apart. Smart and cynical with a studied cool reserve that compliments a perceptive eye and a razor sharp sarcastic wit while hiding her strong personal integrity, she endures life both with her dysfunctional family while, as an misunderstood outsider, she must deal with the shallow and condescending people around her, the kind of person that her vain and shallow brat of a younger sister, Quinn, epitomizes. With her best friend, the equally cynical Jane Lane, these two face the challenge with all the considerable wit and intelligence needed to show their foolish enemies up. Yet events would occur throughout the series that would challenge their friendship even as they learn to accept new friends they can respect like Mack Mackenzie and Jodie Landon and especially Tom Sloan who becomes the focus of an unexpected rivalry. All the while, they face trials of growing up along with the changes that life brings.

S01E00 Unaired Pilot: "Sealed with a Kick"
After borrowing a pencil from him, Kevin thinks Daria is trying to get with him. After he confronts her about it, Daria pretends she likes him just to mess with him.

S01E01: "Esteemsters"
The Morgendorffers move to Lawndale, where Quinn becomes a member of the Fashion Club and Daria meets an equally cynical artist named Jane during a self-esteem class taught by their neurotic, wimpy English teacher, Mr. O'Neill.

S01E02: "The Invitation"
To Quinn's horror, Daria is invited to Brittany's party after helping her solve an art class problem, and Jane tags along.

S01E03: "College Bored"
The Morgendorffers visit Middleton College - Jake and Helen's alma mater, where Quinn goes to a frat party and Daria finds brisk business writing term papers.

S01E04: "Cafe Disaffecto"
The students of Lawndale High raise money selling objects door-to-door to raise money for a new cafe after the old one is burglarized.

S01E05: "Malled"
Daria and Jane's economic class go to the Mall of the Millennium to learn about "mall economics", where Daria A) gets sick from the smell of Brittany and Kevin making out, B) becomes a record-setting shopper at a doo-dads store, C) uncovers a secret market research project and D) finds Quinn playing hooky and blackmails her for a ride home.

S01E06: "This Year's Model"
A modeling agency comes to Lawndale High to recruit female students, and end up picking Quinn as one of the candidates, before zeroing in on stupid Lawndale High QB Kevin Thompson.

S01E07: "The Lab Brat"
For a class project for the man-hating science teacher, Ms. Barch, Daria is paired with jock Kevin (who is more interested in watching football on the Morgendorffers' TV than working with Daria) while Brittany works with resident pervert, Charles "Upchuck" Ruttenheimer, after he blackmails her into being her partner.

S01E08: "Pinch Sitter"
Quinn is chosen to babysit for an ultra-conservative family's children, but Daria steps in when Quinn has a date.

S01E09: "Too Cute"
Quinn is afraid she's not cute enough and wants plastic surgery after seeing a fellow classmate with a nose job. Meanwhile, Kevin is chosen by Ms. Barch to disguise himself as an ugly man and chart people's reactions.

S01E10: "The Big House"
After getting caught sneaking in the house past curfew, Helen and Jake set up "Family Court" and sentence Daria and Quinn to being grounded. Meanwhile, a roller hockey game at school is coming up and all of the students are betting that their high-strung history teacher, Mr. DeMartino, will have his next heart attack in his rematch against classic rock DJ, Rock and Roll Randy.

S01E11: "Road Worrier"
Daria travels with Jane, Jane's brother, Trent, and Trent's friend, Jessie (both make up half of Mystik Spiral), to Alternapalooza while Quinn begins her travels there with her Fashion Club friends.

S01E12: "The Teachings of Don Jake"
The Morgendorffers go camping after Jake suffers a burst blood vessel in his eye due to stress over money. Meanwhile, Jane and Trent try to survive a hostile family reunion.

S01E13: "The Misery Chick"
Famed Lawndale High quarterback, Tommy Sherman, dies in a freak accident while visiting his alma mater, prompting Jane to avoid Daria for a while and everyone else to dub Daria "The Misery Chick" and ask her for advice on coping with sadness.
