What's this?
This dancemix is in general a kind of greatest-hits-compilation in a special way. Burned in a proper way to an Audio-CD you will have a continous flow of music, without gaps interrupting it. Most of the tracks are not complete in this way, it's faded in and out often after half of the original track. For this, every original track was speeded up or down a little bit at overlapping points for matching the drumbeats. The special technique used to do this prevents the audience from really realizing the speeding.

Especially this mix initially really was not made to get torrented. It's not really a "DANCEMIX", but for sure you can dance if you want to.
Gary was in town this week, and I was very happy about this. It was a wonderful show and he played all my favourite songs from the past too. He made some really good albums. To get some reminding flashbacks about his music before I went to see him live on stage I made this mix. When driving in the city with my car, I am listening to my favourite music and I hate it to exchange discs or to search for a special track. But would you your original copy of an album like "TELEKON" ruin in your car's CD-player? Never! So what I did was grabbing my copy of his 2-CD-compilation called "EXPOSURE" and gave my mix-machine a run on it together with some other tracks. This mix has some edges, but somehow it fits so wonderful to Gary's music. At the beginning it is a little bit "edgy", but very soon this mix developes it's own dynamic based on Gary's styles. It's a tricky thing for some people to listen to the music of this charismatic artist. But please give this mix a chance, it will definitely grow on you. I personally think that this is one of my best mixes. Maybe I like Gary's music too much? I want to say with that: What you get today with this is not that perfect, but I like it very much. Why I put it up then here? Gary is criminally underrated and he released this year his wonderful album "JAGGED". This mix here is a nice "taster" to get an idea about the music Gary made so far, for sure it's a thing of my personal taste (some of the tracks I really like much, are a little bit longer than the remaining ;-) tracks). My hope is also to catch some new fans for him too. But this was not the only reason. Some people asked me: "Which guy does this music?" This is driving me really nuts because everybody grew up in the eighties should have an idea with wellknown tracks like CARS or FRIENDS ELECTRIC. So pls. understand this as an honour to a wonderful artist, making music now for more than 30 years. If you like it, pls. go to the recordshop and have a listen to some of his records in full length. I don't want to recommend here something special, but EXPOSURE, already named above, is a nice start. And his latest album JAGGED is very good too. Four tracks from JAGGED are included here. The final track of the mix is the wonderful song A PRAYER FOR THE UNBORN, this was also the last song at the concert, really a killer-song.
