http://harderbloggerfaster.wordpress.com/ said:"French dance-duo Cassius are back with the greatly named ‘ Youth, speed, trouble and cgiarettes’ which presumably points to the current state of young people in France.
Cassius burst onto the scene in 1999 with the mainstream hit, “Cassius 1999” which managed to get to number seven in our charts.
They have been touted as the missing link in French dance music – lying somewhere between Dimitri, Daft punk and Air.
They comprise of two of Frances best-known producers Phillippe Zdar and Hubert Blanc-Francart (AKA Boom Bass).
There sound is an amalgamation of both them, so you get the jazzy hip-hop from Hubert and the phase ‘n’ filtered acid-house from Philippe leaving you with ‘Cassius’ easy really.
According to Cassius themselves “it’s a shout to all kids of earth and ravers at heart, the people dancing late, living fast, getting into trouble and chain smoking is as important as sleeping and checking mails”.
On this EP they have a go at their first ever cover ‘Almost Cut My Hair’ from the mighty David Crosby as well as a rather good dance remix of Y-S-T-C."
