I've been very much enjoying the main album (ie. the first CD) since the first week of August, which is when the promotional CD found it's way to me... and I was quite delightfully shocked at the overall style and tone of this long anticipated work from a name that is firmly set in the history of electronic production.

For those who may be unaware, there are no big beats and basslines to be found in any of the original works. The title falls under various categories of production, including Electronica, Downtempo, Leftfield and perhaps even Alternative and New Wave.

The remixes have only this week found their way to me, and I am once again absolutely enraptured with joy at another completely outstanding Future Funk Squad breaks conversion.

For those of you who perhaps haven't yet picked up on my previous post of Future Funk Squad's remix of UNKLE's "Restless".. you are sorely missing out.

Crank up the volume knob all the way... and rip it off.

You can find more information about the record label, Studio !K7, which is home to the DJ Kicks series, and flaunts names such as Laurent Garnier, Dave Angel, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Tosca, A Guy Called Gerald, Swayzak, The Herbaliser and many more.. at the following locations:
