| | 1942) is a Grammy Award-winning Brazilian | |
| | singer, guitarist and songwriter; Gil is also | |
| | the current Minister of Culture and is best | |
| | known for his late 1960s 'Tropicalismo' | |
| | recordings, including 'Roda', 'Lunik 9', and | |
| | 'Domingo No Parque'. So to have his | |
| | effortless class gracing a Drum & Bass 12" is | |
| | no less than a massive honour. | |

| | second release on their own label, | |
| | Beatmasters Recordings. Teaming up with XRS | |
| | for the original version, Gilberto Gil puts | |
| | his sublime vocal talents to work on 'Dia De | |
| | Sol' (sunny day) and whips up a stunning | |
| | storm over a silky D&B backbone. | |

| | While on the A side, Drumagick toughen things | |
| | up a bit for the dancefloor crew with some | |
| | expertly placed low end and serious, stepping | |
| | beats that are sure to have all of the raving | |
| | crew shaking some serious rump during the | |
