A brief review of the album:
""I was hooked to Avial the time I heard their eponymous debut. There was no time lag between listening to their music and falling in love with it. Honestly, the only other album that made such an impact on me was AC/DC’s Back In Black. These guys have gone against the flow and taken a bold step by releasing an album in a regional language, Malayalam. They made an album that not only has catchy music but also engaged some the best wordsmiths of Kerala to write their lyrics. One of the reasons given by the so-called Indian rock bands for making albums in English is that it is hard to put Indian language lyrics to a rock tune. Avial has pooh-poohed that notion and hopefully will start a trend where it is no longer uncool to sing rock songs in ones own language. This band can be compared to Junoon of Pakistan which was a trend setter in Urdu rock. This album is a true classic and all songs are exceptionally good. But I must say that I’m somewhat partial to Nada Nada, Chekele and Karukara.""
