A frankly absurd title ("The Original Brandenburg Concertos") for an otherwise interesting CD: Torelli in 1698 dedicated his opus 6 to Sophia Charlotte, Electress of Brandenburg, but that's that - nothing in common with Bach. Torelli is very little known apart his Christmas Concerto, but this concertos are clearly precursor of Corelli's and are competently played here by the Oxford period band adding a bit of woodwinds "ad lib."
