Celebrating 100 years of Karajan's birthday.
"Also sprach Zarathustra" opening was used in famous Kubrick's "2001". When Kubrick had sought permission to use Karajan's 1959 Decca recording of „Also sprach Zarathustra“ on the sountrack of his film, Decca had licenced the tape to MGM on the strict understanding that no mention should be made in the film's credits of Decca, Karajan, or the Vienna Philharmonic.
